About us

Having its roots conceived in Sydney, Australia operating since 2011 and founded by a couple of enthusiastic and hardworking Kiwi expats, Stageset are renowned for supplying stunning staging solutions Australia wide, some of which include The Listen Out Tour, Midnight Oil – The Great Circle Tour, Splendour in the Grass, Byron Bay Blues Festival, Download Festival, Groove in the Moo, Opera House Concert Series, Australia Day, Vivid Sydney and Handa Opera on the Water just to name a few.

Meet the team

Chris Beehan

Managing Director

With 24 plus years’ experience in the entertainment construction industry, Chris manages the design, sales and commercial divisions of Stageset. Passionate about creating the best possible product or design for his loyal and satisfied client base, Chris has project managed many of the largest staging builds in Australia, Europe and Asia over the past two decades.

Chris’s Career Highlights: Michael Jackson 'History World Tour' 1996 - 1997; Paul McCartney 'Back in the World' European Tour 2003; Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games; World Youth Day Sydney; Madonna Japan Tour 2006; Future Music Tour 2015 Supernova Stage; Designing and creating Stageset products and nurturing Stageset as a company from 2011 to where it is today.

Mataio Alefosio

Account / Senior Project Manager & Director

After a successful career in scaffold construction, Mataio joined the Entertainment industry in 2000 and continues to build and maintain stakeholder relationships with his passionate nature and ‘can-do’ attitude. As a skilled problem solver, Mataio ensures the execution of Stageset’s strategic vision, delivering challenging projects on time, every time.

Michelle Fordham

Office Manager

As Office Manager, Michelle oversees the day-to-day running of the office as well as providing administrative support to the project delivery teams. Michelle possesses 20 years’ experience in varying administrative and secretarial roles. Her experience and qualifications ensures the smooth running of the office, which she manages with expert proficiency.
